It’s quite amazing, as we grow up, who we adopt as our life role models. The beauty of the world we live in is that we are unique in even the smallest little details in life and no body can replicate us.
As a certified life coach you would expect my role models to be motivational speakers such as Les Brown and Tony Robbins. My role model is none other than this incredible icon, THE UNDERTAKER. He inspires me to take my imagination and creativity to new heights and stand out in an incredibly unique way never seen before, which forces the audience to freeze and say “WOW”.
I have quite a story about this. I was in a network marketing meeting over 10 years ago when I literally started network marketing. We were randomly picked out and asked who our biggest role models are. Others said zig ziglar, Brian Tracey, The SUMO guy, even their own upline, When I said The Undertaker there were a few sarcastic sniggers and I was told in front of the whole crowd to go back to school and come back when I have stopped living in a fantasy land. To this day I have not budged and even in my talks I am always proud to say The Undertaker is, and always will be my biggest role model.
There are always going to be people who will never accept you as you are, who will ridicule your ways and drag you down. These are people you need to shut out of your life because their toxic energy will always interfere with your progress. The world we live in is filled with ignorance that we sadly cannot get rid of. However, remember that tho we cannot control what happens, we can control how we respond.
